A curated selection of sneak-peek images will arrive within 48 hours, so you can relive the joy of your day almost immediately. Your complete edited gallery will be delivered within 6–10 weeks via an online viewing platform that you may share, or keep private.
Common Questions
Where are you based? What are your travel fees?
I am based in the Thompson Okanagan (ie. between Kelowna and Kamloops) and I photograph weddings and elopements throughout BC.
Travel within 400km of my base is included in your package, making it effortless for you to celebrate wherever your story unfolds.
For weddings or elopements beyond 400km, travel fees are applied to cover flights, accommodations, and logistics, allowing me to accompany you while ensuring your day is captured with the same attention to detail and luxury experience as a local celebration. Destination weddings, whether elsewhere in Canada or internationally, are warmly welcomed, and I’ll handle all the planning to make your travel experience effortless and stress-free.
How far in advance should we book?
To secure your preferred date and ensure a seamless experience, I recommend booking 12–18 months in advance. This allows ample time for planning, engagement sessions, timeline guidance, and any customization you may wish to add, ensuring your wedding day is captured with intention and care.
What are your booking and cancellation policies?
To secure your date, a non-refundable $1,000 retainer is collected at the time of booking and applied toward your total investment. The remaining balance, along with any applicable travel fees, is due one week prior to your wedding or event date. Payment can be made via e-transfer or credit card for your convenience.
If you cancel more than 30 days before your wedding, the retainer and any payments made up to that point are retained, and no further balance is required. Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email, with confirmation of receipt.
Cancellations made within 30 days of your wedding or without proper written notice will require payment of the full balance. This policy ensures fairness while allowing me to provide each couple with the attention and care their day deserves.
Are you licensed/insured?
Yes — my business is fully licensed to operate as a professional photography service, and both my equipment and myself are covered by comprehensive liability and indemnity insurance. For certain locations, such as National Parks or international destinations, additional permits or licensing may be required. I handle the acquisition of all necessary paperwork on your behalf, with any associated costs pre-discussed and included transparently. This ensures your day is fully protected and stress-free, no matter the setting.
How are our images protected?
Your images are safeguarded with meticulous care at every stage. Each of my professional DSLR camera bodies features dual-card memory slots, meaning your photos are backed up instantly to two locations as they are captured. After your event, all images are immediately transferred to two external hard drives and securely backed up to the cloud — ensuring your memories exist in five separate locations from the start.
Your photos remain accessible on my website for one year, though I maintain an archival system that includes sessions dating back over six years, allowing continued download access. Additionally, your final images are stored indefinitely across multiple hard drives. If you ever misplace them, I will always have a safe, reliable copy for you, giving you complete peace of mind that your memories are preserved beautifully and securely.
How do you select a second shooter?
Each second shooter on my team is a carefully selected creative professional who meets my exacting standards for artistry, professionalism, and reliability. They are brought on to act as an extension of myself, capturing moments with the same attention to detail and perspective you expect from me. All images taken by second shooters are professionally edited by me, ensuring a cohesive, seamless final gallery that reflects my signature style and storytelling approach.
What if the weather doesn't cooperate?
I am experienced in all lighting and weather conditions, and I always have backup plans to ensure your images remain stunning, whether we have rain or shine. I view unexpected weather as an opportunity for creative, cinematic, and dramatic imagery, capturing your day in a way that feels both authentic and editorial.
Do you offer digital files, prints, albums?
The Heirloom Collection includes a custom, hand-crafted fine-art album.
Additional albums, prints, and wall art are available as optional add-ons, each fully customizable in design, texture, and size. After your gallery is delivered, you’ll have access to a professional print store to select archival-quality pieces that transform your images into tangible, lasting keepsakes.
What is your turnaround time?
Your private online gallery is typically delivered within 6–10 weeks, depending on the season and your package. Custom fine-art albums may require additional time due to meticulous design and printing.
